was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are two identical addresses of separate applicants, the tie break will be random. Every child entered into the HCC admissions database has an individual random number assigned, between 1 and 1 million, against each preference school. When there is a need for a final tie break the random number is used to allocate the place, with the lowest number given priority.
Document also contains separate Sixth Form (Year 12 external entry) admissions arrangements with PAN of 30 external places and a differently worded oversubscription list (same 6 non-faith rules but without the church attendance rule, ending instead with distance as Rule 6); minimum academic entry requirements (GCSE Best 8 total of 32) also apply for Sixth Form entry. EHCP-named children admitted before oversubscription criteria are applied, per Section 324 Education Act 1996 (not counted as a numbered criterion).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
