was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at North West London Jewish Day School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of more applicants than places in each of the above categories: 1. Proximity of the child's home to the school's main gate, as measured in a straight line, with the child whose home address is nearer the school being accorded the higher priority. Measurements are taken from the front door of the child's home address (including the front door of the block of flats) to the main entrance of the school, using the Local Authority's computerised measuring system. 2. Where the distance tie break does not produce a clear outcome, the place will be determined by random allocation supervised by a person independent of the school. This tie-break also applies in the case of non-Priority children.
Transcribed from North West London Jewish Day School's Admissions Policy for entry into Reception and Years 1-6 for the academic year 2027/2028. 'Priority children' means children of families who achieve a minimum of 10 points on the school's Supplementary Information Form; the SIF explains how points are calculated. The school publishes a separate policy for Nursery entry.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
