When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: When the offer of places to all applicants in any of the above categories would lead to over-subscription, places will be offered on the basis of the distance from the main entrance of child's home to the main entrance of the school building, being measured in a straight line.
Prior to the numbered oversubscription criteria, the document states that Looked After Children and children with an EHCP naming the school are given places first (EHCP admission is a separate legal process not part of the oversubscription criteria). Places are structured so that faith places are shared equally among six 'other major faiths' groups (6 places each) with remaining places forming the non-faith proportion allocated via criteria 4 (nearest) then distance tie-break. Multiple births, previously looked after children, and children of UK service personnel arriving after offer day may be admitted above the admission number as exceptions to infant class size limits.
