Menorah Primary School for Boys

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after Jewish children — Children of the Jewish faith who are or have been "looked after" by a local authority under the provisions of the Children Act 1989.
2. 2Nursery attendees — 22 Orthodox Jewish children who have attended the School's Nursery.
3. 3GGBH Frequent Attendee parent — Orthodox Jewish children having at least one parent who is a Frequent Attendee at the Golders Green Beth Hamedrash (GGBH) as at the Closing Date. "Frequent Attendee" means having attended either services or Shiurim at the GGBH on average at least three times a week for a period of no less than 12 months in the 16 months prior to the Closing Date.
4. 4Sibling at the School or Girls' School — Orthodox Jewish children with a sibling who will be at the School or at Menorah Primary School for Girls at the date entry is required.
5. 5Orthodox Jewish Priority Children — Up to three Orthodox Jewish Priority Children per entry age group, "Priority Child" means either (a) the eldest child in a family; or (b) a child of appropriate age for entry to the class applied for whose family has moved into the area in the 12 months prior to the Closing Date but who has no older siblings currently at the School or at Menorah Primary School for Girls.
6. 6Assessed Orthodox Jewish families — Orthodox Jewish children of Orthodox Jewish families assessed on the basis of the supplementary information form and a reference from an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi.
7. 7Other looked after children — Other children who are or have been "looked after" by a local authority under the provisions of the Children Act 1989.
8. 8Other children with sibling — Other children with a sibling who will be at the school or at Menorah Primary School for Boys or Menorah Primary School for Girls at the date entry is required.
9. 9Other children — Other children.

If two applications tie: In the event of there being insufficient places for all applicants within any of the above criteria, a random ballot will be used to determine which children will be admitted under the criteria in question, in the presence of an independent observer.

The document presents this as an 'Oversubscription criteria (summary)' within the council's admissions guide, and states 'Please contact the School or check the School's website for the full criteria.' The numbered list (1-9) is reproduced as printed, though item numbering/order in the source text is somewhat interleaved with page layout artefacts.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
