When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Baptised Catholic looked after/previously looked after children — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) who are looked after or previously looked after (See Note 3 below).
2. 2Baptised Catholic children in parish with sibling at school — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of Holy Redeemer, SS Wulstan and Eadburger who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School at the time of admission.
3. 3Baptised Catholic children living in the parish — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of Holy Redeemer, SS Wulstan and Eadburger.
4. 4Other baptised Catholic children with sibling at school — Other Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School at the time of admission.
5. 5Other baptised Catholic children — Other Baptised Catholic children (see note 2 below).
6. 6Non-Catholic looked after/previously looked after children — Non-Catholic children who are looked after or previously looked after (See Note 3 below).
7. 7Non-Catholic children with sibling at school — Non-Catholic children who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School at the time of admission.
8. 8Non-Catholic children — Non-Catholic children.

If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Distances are measured in a straight line using the GeoCode Points for each property and the GeoCode point for the school. Where distances are equal, random allocation (lottery) supervised independently is used.

Children with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan naming the school MUST be admitted; this reduces places available and is not an oversubscription criterion (Note 1). Waiting list maintained until last day of summer term 2028, re-ranked as new children join. Deferred entry allowed up to first day of summer term 2028. Twins/multiple births admitted where possible if one qualifies within PAN. CATCHMENT: For the purposes of this policy, parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map which can be accessed at https://www.birminghamdiocese.org.uk/boundary-map and will be applied to the admission arrangements for the academic year 2024/2025.
