How places were offered at St Edmund's Catholic Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is no other way of separating the application according to the admissions criteria and to admit both, or all, of the children would cause the Published Admission Number for the child's year group to be exceeded, the Local Governing Body will randomly select the child to be offered the final place. The Local Governing Body will, where logistically possible, admit twins and all siblings from multiple births where one of the children is the last child ranked within the academy's published admission number.
Within any oversubscription category, priority is given first to siblings attending the academy, then to distance (shortest straight-line measurement). A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) must be completed for Catholic applicants. Children with an EHCP naming the academy are admitted before these arrangements are applied (not counted as a numbered criterion).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
