When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children looked after and previously looked after — Children looked after and who were previously looked after, including those previously looked after outside England i.e. in public care, giving priority, if necessary, to the youngest child(ren) - see Note 1.
2. 2Children of staff employed by Furness Education Trust — Children of staff employed by Furness Education Trust, on a permanent contract of 0.6 FTE or above for two or more years, at the time when their application for a school place is made or a staff member who has been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a skill shortage.
3. 3Catchment area children with siblings in school — Children living in the catchment area who have brothers or sisters in the school at the time of admission - see Note 2.
4. 4Catchment area children by proximity — Children living in the catchment area giving priority to those living closest to the school, measured by a straight line between the centre of the pupil's home address and the school's main front entrance - see Note 3.
5. 5Out-of-catchment children with siblings in school — Children living outside the catchment area who, at the time of their admission, have brothers or sisters in the school – see Note 2.
6. 6Out-of-catchment children by proximity — Children living outside the catchment area, giving priority to those who live closest to the school, measured by a straight line between the centre of the pupil's home address and the school's main front entrance – see Note 3.

If two applications tie: Straight-line distance between the centre of the pupil's home address and the school's main front entrance, measured by the LA's GIS.

Entry is to Year 3. Within criterion 1, priority given to youngest child(ren). Within criterion 3, priority given to children with youngest siblings. Within criterion 5, priority given to youngest siblings unless siblings are in the same year group, in which case distance measurement applies.
