Ormiston Six Villages Academy

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children with an Education Health and Care Plan
2. 2Looked after children and those who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after was adopted or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order
3. 3Children who have exceptional and compelling social, psychological or medical grounds for attending the Academy
4. 4Children whose siblings attend the school and live at the same address within the catchment area
5. 5Children of staff who work (on a permanent contract) for the academy, have worked for more than two years for the Trust or have been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skills shortage;
6. 6Children who live within the catchment area
7. 7Children whose siblings attend the school and live at the same address outside the catchment area
8. 8Children who live outside the catchment area

If two applications tie: If there are not enough places to satisfy all applications under any one criterion, priority will be given in accordance with proximity to the academy as per criterion. Where two or more applicants live an equal distance from the academy and it is not possible to differentiate between them, priority will be determined by a random allocation process. This process will be independently verified by someone independent of the academy and OAT.
