When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are not enough places to satisfy all applications under any one criterion, priority is given in accordance with proximity to the academy. Where two or more applicants live an equal distance and it is not possible to differentiate between them, priority is determined by a random allocation process, independently verified by someone independent of the academy and OAT.
A pupil with an EHCP naming the academy is admitted, reducing available places accordingly (not itself a numbered criterion). Applicants must submit both the local authority's Common Application Form and an academy supplementary information form, both by 31 October 2026. The document separately defines a catchment area (a list of named villages/parishes) for which 'applications from outside the catchment area are very welcome' when the school is not full; this catchment area is not itself one of the ranked oversubscription criteria in this document (only cluster feeder schools and proximity are used).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
Children attending these settings are given priority in this school's admissions.
