Wilmcote C of E Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children and all previously looked after children, including those children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
2. 2Pupil Premium/Service Premium eligible children (cap 14%) — Children eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium, Pupil Premium or Service Premium at the time of making the application, with no more than 14% of the places available to be allocated under this criterion on National Offer Day.
3. 3Children subject to Child in Need/Child Protection Plan (cap 9%) — Children who are currently, or have been at any point since birth, subject to a Child in Need Plan or a Child Protection Plan, with no more than 9% of the places available to be allocated under this criterion on National Offer Day.
4. 4Sibling in Priority Area (Years 1-6) — Children living in the Priority Area for the school, who will have a sibling attending the same school in Years 1 to 6 at the time of admission in September 2027.
5. 5Other children in Priority Area — Other children living in the Priority Area for the school.
6. 6Children of staff — Children of Staff who have been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application for the school place; or recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage (see further clarification in section 3).
7. 7Sibling outside Priority Area (Years 1-6) — Children living outside the Priority Area for the school, who will have a sibling attending the same school in Years 1 to 6 at the time of admission in September 2027.
8. 8Other children outside Priority Area — Other children living outside the Priority Area for the school.

If two applications tie: Where applicants are allocated the same oversubscription criteria, priority is given in order of distance between the child's home address and the school applied for, with the shortest distance being given highest priority. Where the distance from home to school is identical for two or more applicants within the same oversubscription criteria, individual priority will be determined by random allocation using a random number generator.

Children with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) that names the school will be admitted first, ahead of oversubscription criteria; this reduces places available. School also has 13 Nursery places; children in the Nursery must still apply for Reception. Multiple-birth children: where the final place is offered to one of twins/triplets, the other(s) will normally also be offered a place even if this exceeds PAN. CATCHMENT: The priority area for Wilmcote C of E Primary School is defined as the parishes of Wilmcote, Aston Cantlow (excluding Shelfield and Shelfield Green areas), Billesley, and Old Stratford and Drayton north of the Stratford upon Avon Canal. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Warwickshire County Council school admissions directory. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
