was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Reedswood E-ACT Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more applications cannot be separated by the oversubscription criteria outlined above, priority will be given to the child living nearest to the school, measured in accordance with the distance methodology used by the relevant Local Authority. Where two or more applicants live at the same distance from the school and it is therefore not possible to determine priority, random allocation will be used to decide between them.
All children whose Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) names the school will be admitted before any other places are allocated (statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion). Twins/multiple births may be admitted above PAN per Admissions Code. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Walsall Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
