When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority is given to girls living closest to the school, determined by the shortest straight-line distance (front door of home, including flats' communal entrance, to the school's main entrance) within each category. Where distances are the same for two or more girls and this would determine the last place, random allocation (names drawn from a hat) is carried out, supervised by a person independent of the school.
A girl with a Statement of SEN or EHCP naming the school is admitted via a separate procedure before the 8 numbered oversubscription criteria are applied, and is not itself one of the numbered criteria. Within each of the 8 categories, two further provisions are applied in order before the distance tie-break: (i) an application evidencing exceptional social, medical or pastoral need is placed at the top of its category; then (ii) an application where a sister already attends the school at the time of enrolment is placed at the top of the category (after any (i) applications).
