Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If a tie-break is necessary to determine which child is admitted, the child living closest to the school measured in a straight line will be given priority for admission. If there are two or more children with exactly the same circumstances, (e.g., the same distance measurement), then Random Allocation, undertaken by a person unconnected with the school or the Trust, will be used as a tie-break to decide who has highest priority for admission.
Any child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming the school will be admitted regardless of numbers. Attendance at any pre-school setting does not confer any special consideration for admission into the Reception year. Staff criterion applies to those employed by the Trust to work at this school for at least 2 years at time of application, or recruited to a hard-to-fill post with demonstrable skill shortage.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
