When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where places run out within a category, priority is given to the children living closest to the school (straight-line measurement from the home address point to a central point in the main school building, using the local authority's computerised mapping system). If distance cannot resolve it, the remaining places are allocated by random lottery in front of an independent witness.
