was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Bishop Fox's School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of oversubscription within any of the criteria listed above, preference will be given to applicants who live closest to the school as measured in a straight line by a Geographical Information System (GIS) method from the address point of the school site to the address point for the pupil's home. In the case of multi-level dwellings such as flats, the staircase will be included in the distance measurement. Where two distances are equal and it is therefore not possible to differentiate between them, priority will be determined by drawing of lots supervised by someone independent of the admission authority.
The school will be required to admit any child with an Education, Health and Care plan, if the statement names the school, before the oversubscription criteria apply. Multiple birth siblings may be admitted above the PAN.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
