Foljambe Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children with Special Educational Needs (EHCP) — A small number of children will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that names a school, and these children must be admitted to the school named as part of that process. The majority of children with special educational needs will not require an EHCP. Applications for children who have special educational needs but no EHCP, will be considered on the basis of the Admission Authority's published admissions criteria.
2. 2Looked after / previously looked after children — Relevant Looked After Children and previously looked after children (see note (a) for full definition).
3. 3Catchment area with older sibling — Children who, on 15th January 2027, live in the catchment area of the school as defined by the Admission Authority and will have an older sibling on the roll of the school in Years 1-6 at the start of the academic year 2027 (see notes (b) and (c)).
4. 4Catchment area — Children who, on 15th January 2027, live in the catchment area of the school as defined by the Admission Authority (see notes (b) and (c)).
5. 5Expected older sibling on roll (any address) — Children who, on 15th January 2027, it is expected will have an older sibling on the roll of the preferred school in Years 1-6 at the start of the academic year 2027 (see note (d)).
6. 6Nearest distance — Children who, on 15th January 2027, live nearest to the school measured by a straight line on a horizontal plane, (commonly known as measurement 'as the crow flies').

Document refers to the school as 'Foljambe Primary Academy' within the Wickersley Partnership Trust shared admissions policy, which applies identically to Aston Hall J&I School, Aston Lodge Primary School, Brinsworth Whitehill Primary School, Monkwood Primary School, Rawmarsh Ashwood Primary School, Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary School, and Thrybergh Primary School. Additional notes on definitions of sibling, residency, 50/50 custody, and UK service personnel are published but not separate ranked criteria. No PAN or explicit tie-breaker for this trust's schools is stated in the extract.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
