was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
Summary of the school's oversubscription criteria for 2027/28 entry as printed by Achieving for Children in Richmond's schools brochure 2027 (the governing body/trust is responsible for the wording; read the full determined policy on the school's website). Proximity of the child’s home to the school, with those living nearer being accorded the higher priority, will also serve to differentiate between pupils in criteria 2 to 4 if there are more applicants than available places under each criterion. Proximity to the school will be measured in a straight line measurement. For the purpose of calculating distance, the school measures home to school distance in a straight line using the School Admissions’ geographical information system and data supplied by Ordnance Survey. The starting point of the measurement is a grid reference point within the property, which is supplied by Ordnance Survey. The end point is measured to the main entrance of the school at its permanent location (389 Richmond Road, Richmond upon Thames TW1 2EF). Where applicants have identical distance measurements, priority amongst them will be determined at random. In blocks of flats, where applicants have identical distance measurements, priority amongst them will be determined at random. In the event that two or more children live at the same distance from the school, the tie breaker will be random allocation, where the supervised drawing of lots by an independent responsible person of good standing will be used to decide which children will be allocated the remaining place(s). For families living on boats, distance will be measured from the authorised mooring point. If the family is itinerant, the nearest mooring point will be used on the closing date for the receipt of applications.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
