How places were offered at St Richard Reynolds Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
Summary of the school's oversubscription criteria for 2027/28 entry as printed by Achieving for Children in Richmond's schools brochure 2027 (the governing body/trust is responsible for the wording; read the full determined policy on the school's website). All applications are first considered for a foundation place and then all those not awarded a foundation place are considered for an open place. There are 20 foundation places and 10 open places. 20 Foundation places 10 Open places 1. Looked after and previously looked after children (including children adopted from state care outside of England). 2. Children living closest to the school as measured in accordance with the tie break below. Within each of the categories listed above, the following provisions will be applied in the following order. I. Where evidence is provided at the time of application of an exceptional social, medical or pastoral need of the child which can most appropriately be met at this school, the application will be placed at the top of the category in which the application is made. II. The attendance of a brother or sister at St Richard Reynolds Catholic Primary School at the time of enrolment will increase the priority of an application within each category so that the application will be placed at the top of the category in which the application is made after children in (i) above. III. A child(ren) of a member of St Richard Reynolds Catholic College staff who has been employed at the college (primary or high school) for two or more consecutive years at the time of application. Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Proximity to the school will be measured by the shortest route by road and maintained footpath from the property to the nearest pedestrian school gate used by the relevant year group. Accessibility of private or public transport will not be considered. All distances will be measured using the School Admissions’ geographical information system. In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school. Brother or sister includes (i) all natural brothers and sisters, half brothers and sisters, adopted brothers and sisters, stepbrothers or sisters, foster brothers or sisters, whether or not they are living at the same address, and (ii) the child of a parent’s partner where that child lives for at least part of the week in the same family unit at the same home address as the child who is the subject of the application. The supplementary form to apply for denominational priority is available on the school website.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
