was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Trinity Catholic High School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of a tie break, priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated via reference to a Geographical Information System (GIS), as used by the London Borough of Redbridge, which measures distance from the child's home address (see note 6) to the front entrance to the school in Mornington Road, Woodford Green, IG8 0TP, using public roads and recognised footpaths. It should be noted that when measurements involve flats in the same block, the distance will be to the main entrance of the block. Where two or more applications cannot be separated because the children live an equal distance from the school, the order in which places will be allocated will be determined by a lottery tie-break draw in the presence of an independent witness.
Within each of the numbered categories, sibling attendance at the school raises priority to the top of that category, then non-sibling children follow. This policy is not relevant to the process for naming the school on a child's EHCP, which is a separate process outside admissions.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
