Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2024-25 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Stanground Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of oversubscription using the above criteria, priority will be given to those living nearest to the Academy, as defined by the straight line distance*.
The Academy also has a Sixth Form admission number of 150 (including existing students). Sixth Form applicants must meet minimum academic entry criteria; in oversubscription the same five criteria apply with distance as tie-breaker. Proximity measured as straight line distance from the Academy's main reception to the front door of the child's home using Peterborough City Council's LLPG/OS data.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
