Lowe's Wong Anglican Methodist Junior School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — A "looked after child" (LAC), a child who was previously looked after (PLAC) by an English local authority or an internationally adopted previously looked after child, (IAPLAC). Children looked after by a local authority and all previously looked after children, including those children who appear to the admissions authority to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted, (or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order). See definitions page.
2. 2Linked infant school pupils with sibling at school or linked infant schools — Children who attend the linked infant schools* at the closing date for applications and who, at the time of admission, will have a brother or sister attending the school or the linked infant schools*.
3. 3Other children who attend the linked infant schools — Other children who attend the linked infant schools at the closing date for application.
4. 4Catchment area children (not linked infant school) with sibling — Children who live in the catchment area at the closing date of applications, who do not attend the linked infant school but who, at the time of admission, will have a brother or sister attending the school or the linked infant school*.
5. 5Other catchment area children (not linked infant school) — Other children who live in the catchment area at the closing date for applications and do not attend the linked infant schools.
6. 6Outside catchment, not linked infant school, with sibling — Children who live outside the catchment area and who do not attend the linked infant schools* but who, at the time of admission, will have a brother or sister attending the school or the linked infant schools*.
7. 7Outside catchment, parent attends relevant church — Children who live outside the catchment area, but whose parent attends the relevant church/churches – Southwell Minster/Holy Trinity Church Southwell/Southwell Methodist Church.
8. 8Outside catchment area — Children who live outside the catchment area.

If two applications tie: In the event of oversubscription within any criterion except the first, preference will be given to pupils who have a sibling (as defined below) on the school roll, living nearest the school as the crow flies at the time of entry to the school. Preference will then be given to the child living nearest the school as the crow flies. Distances are measured from the entrance to the child's home to the principal entrance of the school using Nottinghamshire County Council's computerised distance measuring software. Where two or more applicants are equal in all respects and it is therefore not possible to differentiate between them, a method of allocation by drawing lots will be used to allocate the places (supervised by someone independent of the school).

Special consideration is given (priority above all but criterion 1) to children whose particular medical needs, mobility support needs, special educational needs or social circumstances are supported by written evidence from a doctor, social worker or other relevant professional, where it can be demonstrated that Lowes Wong Anglican Methodist Junior School is the only school that can meet these needs.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
