When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are not enough places to satisfy all applications under any one criterion, priority is given in accordance with proximity to the academy (straight-line 'crow-fly' distance, Ordnance Survey postcode address points; for dwellings sharing a front entrance, the lower floor counted clockwise is regarded as closer). Where two or more applicants live an equal distance and cannot be differentiated, priority is determined by a random allocation process, independently verified by someone independent of the academy and OAT.
Section 2.7 'Feeder schools' lists a general set of local primaries students transition from, but criterion 5 (rank 5 above) itself only says 'attending a Primary School within the designated catchment area' generically, without repeating these names inline - the link between the named list and that ranked criterion is definitional/contextual rather than restated. Criterion 2 (rank 2) combines catchment-area residence with an internal sibling sub-priority in a single numbered item; criterion 3 (rank 3) is a separate, lower-ranked sibling criterion for a sibling at the same address (not explicitly restricted to in- or out-of-catchment in its own wording) - reproduced exactly as printed. Where a pupil has an EHC plan naming the academy, that pupil is admitted and places reduced accordingly (not itself a numbered criterion). Waiting list maintained until 31 December 2027 following the main intake.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
