When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If all children within any rule cannot be offered a place, priority within that rule goes to children living nearest the school, measured on a straight-line 'crow fly' basis using Ordnance Survey data. Where two or more applicants are equally near and cannot be separated, priority is determined by random allocation, independently verified by someone independent of the academy and OAT.
The document's own list in section 5.5 (transcribed exactly as printed, in order) opens with a general 'Looked after children' definition and the EHC plan admission note before restarting with 'Children in public care (LAC) who are due to transfer' as its own item; these appear to duplicate/overlap rather than forming a cleanly single sequence, but are transcribed in the printed order without reordering or merging. The catchment area is defined by a list of named parishes/villages (Ashmanhaugh, Barton Common, Barton Turf, Beeston St. Lawrence, Belaugh, Coltishall, Fairstead, Great Hautbois, Horning, Horstead with Stanninghall, Hoveton, Irstead, Neatishead, Pennygate, Rackheath, Salhouse, Sco Ruston, Stanninghall, Tunstead, Upper Street, Woodbastwick Village and Wroxham). The academy admits ages 11-16 only (main intake Secondary); the document's table of contents lists Nursery, Primary and Sixth form admissions sections (OAT template headings) but no corresponding body content for those sections is present, so only the Year 7 (Secondary) entry point is produced.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
