was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at E-Act Ousedale School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of oversubscription in any category above, places are allocated according to the proximity of the applicant's main residence to the school's nearest entrance gate of the designated campus, measuring the distance in a straight line using the council's computerised measuring programme. For applicants living in flats, the distance is measured from the school's nearest entrance gate of the designated campus to the front door of the ground floor flat underneath the applicant's main residence. Where two or more students live at the same distance, the tiebreaker is random allocation, independently supervised.
Transcribed from Milton Keynes City Council's composite prospectus "A Guide for Parents/Carers - Secondary Admissions" (Section D, key facts and summary of oversubscription criteria) for entry in September 2027. The admission authority is the E-ACT Board of Trustees, not the council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted before any other places are allocated; the criteria below apply only where there are more than 360 applications. E-Act Ousedale School is a DUAL-CAMPUS school (Newport Pagnell, MK16 0BJ and Olney, MK46 5LF): applications are made to the school as a whole, campus is assigned by home address, and the admission authority may offer the alternative campus if the designated one is full - an applicant who refuses that offer has no waiting-list place or right of appeal at the other campus. E-ACT's own copy of the determined arrangements is not reachable: the trust's per-academy PDFs were withdrawn after determination (HTTP 404) and the school's own site sets Crawl-delay: 10.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
