When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Applicants eligible under criteria 1-5 are ranked by distance of the child's home to the academy within each criterion. Where more than one applicant lives in a multi-occupancy building, the offer is decided by random allocation. If two or more applications remain equally eligible for the last available place, names are issued a number and drawn randomly, overseen by someone independent of the academy trust.
Multiple-birth siblings (twins, triplets, etc.) are all admitted together if the PAN would otherwise be reached partway through the group, even if this exceeds the PAN; if this breaches infant class-size legislation, the additional pupil(s) are treated as 'excepted' for one year. Children with an EHCP naming the academy are admitted before these criteria are applied. This document covers Reception entry only (filed as the 'primary' admission arrangements for this all-through academy); it does not cover the school's secondary (Year 7) intake.
