How close did you need to live?

Distance depends on the band here

Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School admits by banding: applicants are placed into bands and each band is filled separately, so there is no single last-offer distance. Each band has its own, and which one applies depends on your child's assessment — so one number could not answer this for every child.

How the bands work: 15 places allocated as 'Foundation' places and 15 places as 'Open' places

Your local authority’s admissions booklet publishes the cut-off for each band. The full ranked criteria are on the Admissions tab.

How places are decided at Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2022-23 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1Foundation Places - Looked after children — Priority will be given to looked after children and previously looked after children. Previously looked after children are children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a Care Order or Special Guardianship Order) immediately following having been looked after.
2Foundation Places - Regular attendance at a local Church — Applicants who are regular worshipping and committed members of Holy Trinity & St Matthias Church, Tulse Hill. 3Foundation Places - Siblings — The presence of a brother or sister in the school at the time of admission into the School's Register.
4Foundation Places - Children with exceptional Medical or Social Needs — Children with a professionally supported medical or social need, whose application identifies a particular school that is especially able to meet that need. The decision to prioritise children on these grounds will be determined via Lambeth's MEDSOC Panel, which is comprised of senior management.
5Foundation Places - Distance from the school — Priority will be given on the basis of distance between the child's home and the school, measured by a straight-line. This measurement will be done using a computerised mapping system.
6Open Places - Looked after children — Priority will be given to looked after children and previously looked after children. Previously looked after children are children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a Care Order or Special Guardianship Order) immediately following having been looked after.
7Open Places - Siblings — The presence of a brother or sister in the school at the time of admission into the School's Register.

This admission policy is for 2023-24 academic year but states the PAN was temporarily reduced to 30 children to Reception as of September 2022 (as per governors' agreement with Local Authority). The policy describes Foundation Places (15) and Open Places (15) as separate categories with different criteria orders. Looked after children are listed first for both categories (EHCP-equivalent priority). Faith criteria applies specifically to Foundation Places only.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
