When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are more applications within any given criterion than there are remaining places available, the places will be allocated to children satisfying the relevant criterion who live closest to the school, measured by the shortest available safe route for pedestrians along footpaths (using Routefinder). If distance does not distinguish between two or more applicants with equal priority, random allocation, supervised by someone independent of the school, will be used as the final tie-breaker.
PAN of 85 applies only to Reception admissions; the policy also covers deferred, delayed, and accelerated admissions arrangements, and in-year admissions apply the same oversubscription criteria. The document refers to the school as 'St Andrew's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School', whereas the council index lists it as 'St Andrew's Church of England Primary Academy'.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
