When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated using a computerised mapping system to 2 decimal places. The measurement is taken from the AddressBase Premium address point of your child's house to the address point of the school. ... In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school. All the names will be entered into a hat and the required number of names will be drawn out.
Within each of the seven categories: (i) applications with evidence of exceptional social, medical or pastoral need are placed at the top of the category; (ii) applications with a sibling attending the school at time of enrolment are placed next in priority within the category (after those in (i)). Twins and siblings from multiple births will, where logistically possible, be admitted together even if this exceeds the PAN, where one child is the last ranked within PAN. A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) must be submitted by 15 January 2027 for consideration under criteria 1-2 or 4-6; failure to do so means the child will not be placed in those categories.
