King's Academy Bay House

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children or children who were previously looked after, including those who appear [to the admission authority] to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
2. 2Children of Staff — Children of members of staff of King's Academy Bay House who have been employed at the school of application for two or more years at the time of application or have been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
3. 3Children in Catchment with Sibling — Children living in the School's designated catchment area PLUS who equally have a sibling on the 11-16 roll of the school of application and who will still be on the 11-16 school roll at the time of admission.
4. 4Children in Catchment and Coming from Link School — Children living in the School's designated catchment area PLUS who are equally attending a Linked Junior school at the time of application into a new cohort Year 7 for main round admissions only
5. 5Children in Catchment only — Children living in the School's designated catchment area (without sibling or link)
6. 6Children outside of Catchment with Sibling — Other children living outside the School's designated catchment area PLUS who equally have a sibling on the 11-16 roll of the school of application and who will still be on the 11-16 school roll at the time of admission
7. 7Children outside of Catchment and Coming from Link School — Children who are attending a Linked Junior School into a new cohort Year 7 for main round admissions only.
8. 8Children living closest to the School without other Circumstances — Children living outside the School's designated catchment area (without sibling or link school)

If two applications tie: Where two or more applicants are equidistant then a random allocation will be made to allocate the final place.

Link school criteria apply to main round applications only. Multiple births exception: where a twin or child from a multiple birth is offered the last place available within the PAN, any further twin or child of the same multiple birth will also be offered a place if parents wish, even if this raises the year group above PAN.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
