was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at St Clement's Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
Within each of the categories listed above, the following provisions will be applied in the following order. (i)The attendance of a brother or sister* at the school at the time of enrolment will increase the priority of an application within each category so that the application will be placed at the top of the category in which the application is made after children in (1) above. (ii)The children of staff will be given increased priority within each category so that the application will be placed at the top of the category in which the application is made after children in (1) above. *‘brother or sister’ includes: (i) all natural brothers or sisters, half brothers or sisters, adopted brothers or sisters, stepbrothers or sisters, foster brothers or sisters, whether or not they are living at the same address and (ii) the child of a parent’s partner where that child lives for at least part of the week in the same family unit at the same address as the applicant. Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. The address to be used in measuring distance for the purpose of allocating school places will be the child’s permanent address at the closing date of 15th January 2027. Distance will be measured by Halton LA using the LAs address point system, which measures from the address point of the child’s permanent address to the address point of the school in metres. A Supplementary Information Form is required for this school and can be obtained from the school website or by contacting the school and requesting one. This must be returned to the school directly and must be submitted by 23rd February 2027. 46 www.halton.gov.uk/schooladmissions Application Deadline – 15th January 2027 St Edward’s Catholic Primary School Wivern Place, Runcorn, WA7 1RZ Age range 4 – 11 (mixed) Anticipated number on roll: 107 Head teacher: Mrs. A Snell
