When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where students have equal aggregated test scores competing for the last available place(s), preference is first given to the girl eligible for the pupil premium if not already offered a place, then to the girl living closest to the school by straight-line measurement.
Unusually, the EHCP-first-admission rule here is explicitly conditional on score: the document states EHCP children naming the school are admitted first only 'who score 320 or above' on the EHCP. Priority area is defined as 25 miles from the school in a straight line; this does not apply to the Sixth Form. The school also operates a distinct in-year testing process for Years 7-11 (two tests/year, English/Maths/general aptitude, tie-break order: looked after child, then free school meals, then distance) which is separate from this normal-round Year 7 process.
