When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Category 1 – Children in Public Care — Children in Public Care (LAC) – a 'looked after child' or a child who was previously looked after but became subject to an adoption, child arrangements, or special guardianship order, including those who appear to have been in state care outside England.
2. 2Category 2a – UK Armed Forces personnel — Children of UK service personnel with a confirmed posting to the area, provided the application is accompanied by an official letter declaring a relocation date and a Unit postal address or quartering area address.
3. 3Category 2b – St. Michael's staff — Children of St. Michael's School staff who have been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of the February 2026 admissions meeting, or recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable shortage.
4. 4Category 2c – Exceptional needs — Children with exceptional social or medical needs will be considered on a case by case basis; supporting documents required.
5. 5Category 3 (Fa) – Worship at St. Michael's/St. Mary Magdalene — A child whose parent/s worship regularly at St. Michael's CE Church, Gordon Hill or St. Mary Magdalene CE Church, Windmill Hill. Should there be more applicants than places, ordered first by sibling(s) at St. Michael's CE Primary School, then by Home/School distance.
6. 6Category 3 (Fb) – Sibling + other Christian church — A sibling whose parents regularly worship at a Church belonging to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, Evangelical Alliance, or Affinity. Ordered by Home/School distance if oversubscribed.
7. 7Category 3 (Fc) – St Luke's/St John's — A child whose parent/s worship regularly at St Luke's and St John's. Ordered by Home/School distance if oversubscribed.
8. 8Category 3 (Fd) – Other CofE church — A child whose parent/s worship regularly at any other Church of England Church. Ordered by Home/School distance if oversubscribed.
9. 9Category 3 (Fe) – Other Christian denomination — A child whose parent/s worship regularly at a Church of any other Christian denomination belonging to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, Evangelical Alliance, or Affinity. Ordered by Home/School distance if oversubscribed.
10. 10Category 4 (Oa) – Sibling (Open Community) — A sibling. Ordered by Home/School distance if oversubscribed.
11. 11Category 4 (Ob) – Proximity — Children who do not fall into the categories above but who live in close proximity to the school, priority given to the closest (measured by Home/School distance).

If two applications tie: Home/School distance, calculated by the Enfield Schools Admissions Service using ADDRESS-POINT®; in multi-occupancy buildings priority given to the lowest numbered/lettered door.

Admissions are processed via two lists (Foundation Church List and Open Community List) which are combined into one after 1 September 2026 for waiting-list purposes, using the order: Category 1; Category 2 (2a,2b,2c); Category 3 (Fa,Fb); Category 4 (Oa); Category 3 (Fc,Fd,Fe); Category 4 (Ob). Late applications, deferred entry, summer-born, and Fair Access Protocol provisions also apply as described.
