How places are decided at Priory Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1Looked after children and previously looked after children — First priority for admission shall be given to relevant looked after children or children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, residence, or special guardianship order. See notes below.
2Children of school staff employed by the Trust — Second priority for admission shall be given to children of all school teaching and non-teaching staff directly employed by the Trust at the time of the admission of the child in either or both of the following circumstances: 1. Where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made, and/or 2. EHCP: In accordance with legislation, a child with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) will be offered a place if the school is named in the EHCP as the most appropriate to meet the child's individual needs, this may reduce the amount of places available for children who do not have an EHCP. Twins/triplets: special conditions apply - Governing Body will exceed admission number to prevent separation of twins/triplets. Deferred entry to Reception permitted per parental request. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Dudley MBC admission arrangements directory. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
