was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2023-24 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Our Lady and St Kenelm RC School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Distances are calculated on the basis of a straight-line measurement between the child’s home address and the main entrance of the school. Where distances are exactly equal, random allocation is used.
Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school must be admitted before oversubscription criteria are applied (Note 1). Parents must complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF). Twins/multiple births admitted where logistically possible even if PAN exceeded. Waiting list maintained until end of Summer term 2028 and re-ranked as new applicants join. CATCHMENT: For the purposes of this policy, parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map which can be accessed at https://www.birminghamdiocese.org.uk/boundary-map and will be applied to the admission arrangements for the academic year 202/2028. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Dudley MBC admission arrangements directory. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
