When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where, in the case of criteria 2, 3, 4 and 5, choices have to be made between children satisfying the same criteria, those children living nearest to the school measured by the straight line distance will be given preference. The children and adults department uses a Geographic Information System to measure the straight line distance.

Pupils with an education, health and care plan naming the school are admitted before the criteria are applied. The term brother or sister includes (a) a half-brother and/or half-sister, (b) a legally adopted child being regarded as a brother or sister, and (c) a step-brother and/or step-sister residing in the same family unit.
