When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Proximity of the child's home to the school with those living nearer being accorded higher priority, based on information obtained from the Geographic Information System (GIS) in use in the Local Authority.
The policy distinguishes between Normal Area Students and Out-catchment Students; normal area students are given priority over out-catchment students, with the same sub-criteria (13.1–13.4) applied to each group in turn. The four sub-criteria (sibling, medical/social, staff children, proximity) apply to both groups in the same order.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
