When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

Previously looked after children are children who were looked after but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order). All references to previously looked after children in the Admissions Code mean such children who were adopted (or subject to child arrangements orders or special guardianship orders) immediately following having been looked after and those children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.

This is School Admissions Arrangements 2027-2028, determined February 2026 at Trust Board level. The five criteria are the trust's and are shared by every Embark school; the PAN is as printed in the same document's per-school list. Criteria 2, 3 and 4 turn on 'the normal area served by the school' - Derbyshire's normal-area definition - so this school's catchment is part of its ranked order. Tie-break: Where choices have to be made between children satisfying the same criterion, those living nearest to the school measured by straight line distance are given preference.
