When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Distance will be used as a tiebreaker for each oversubscription criterion. Where distance is the same for pupils; then the ultimate tiebreaker will be drawing lots.
This is a multi-academy trust policy covering six schools: Atwood Primary School (60 places), Beulah Infant School (60 places), Cypress Primary School (90 places), Ecclesbourne Primary School (60 places), Whitehorse Manor Infant School and Whitehorse Manor Junior School (120 places combined: 90 on Whitehorse Road site and 30 at Brigstock Road annexe). The infant-to-junior transfer criterion (rank 2) applies only to Beulah Infant School and Whitehorse Manor Infant School transferring to their attached junior schools. Staff criterion requires continuous employment of two years prior to application date, or filling a vacant position for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
