was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within any oversubscription category, and for places allocated under category 6.1, places are ordered by distance the child lives from the School, with those living closest receiving highest priority. Distance is measured to three decimal points from the child's home address to the designated entrance of the School's site in a straight line using the Local Authority's specialist geographic information system; for shared properties (e.g. flats) from the GIS reference point within the building. Where two or more children live an equal distance from the School, random allocation supervised by someone independent of the School is used.
Admissions policy 2027-2028, approved by the Education & Standards Committee February 2026. Part of Avanti Schools Trust. Closing date 15 January 2027; national offer day 16 April 2027.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
