When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where there are places available for some, but not all applicants within a particular criterion priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distanced. In assessing home to school distance the LA use a Geographic Information System (GIS) to identify and measure the shortest route utilising only the Ordnance Survey Integrated Transport Network (ITN) and Urban Paths Network (UPN) which are national recognised data sets. In the event of distances been the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out in a public place and supervised by a person independent of the school.
Within each category, applications with exceptional social, medical or pastoral need evidenced by appropriate professional are placed at the top, followed by applications with a sibling at the school at time of enrolment. Twins and all siblings from multiple births where one child is the last ranked within PAN will be admitted where logistically possible. Infant class size limit of 30 pupils with single qualified teacher applies.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
