When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If DEMAT is unable to distinguish between applicants using the published criteria, including those who live in blocks of flats, places will be offered via a random draw which will be supervised by someone independent of the school.
Within each criterion, distance is used to rank applications: straight-line distance from home to school, measured electronically using Post Office and Ordnance Survey data, reported to three decimal places, with priority given to those living closest. Random draw applies only as a final tie-breaker where distance cannot distinguish applicants.
