was the furthest place offered for 2024-25 (Year 7). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at St Peter's School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In cases of equal merit within a criterion, priority goes to children living nearest the school, measured by a straight line from the centre point of the home to the main pupil entrance to the school (distances produced by the Local Authority's Admissions team, or by local maps/online resources outside the Cambridgeshire mapping system). Where the distance between two children's homes and the school is the same, random allocation is used: names are placed in separate sealed envelopes and an independent person chosen by the Local Authority selects one.
This is a shared The CAM Academy Trust document covering multiple primary and secondary schools (Cambourne Village College, Comberton Village College, Melbourn Village College, St Peter's School, and several primaries); the Secondary Oversubscription criteria (7.2.2), which apply to all Trust secondaries including St Peter's, are reproduced here. Unlike Cambourne, Comberton and Melbourn Village Colleges, Appendix 1 does not name specific feeder primary schools for St Peter's - its catchment area is defined geographically (Hartford, Houghton, Wyton, RAF Wyton, the area served by Abbots Ripton Primary School, Green Tiles Road/Robertson Way, Sapley including Tower Fields, Great Stukeley, Stukeley Meadows, Huntingdon north and east of Ermine Street, and a list of named streets), so feeder_schools is left null and criteria 2/4/6 (which reference named feeder schools) may have no schools satisfying that element for St Peter's specifically. Children whose EHC plan names the school are admitted before these criteria are applied; not numbered within the list so not included as a criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
