When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In cases of equal merit in each set of criteria, priority will go to children living nearest the school as measured by a straight line. In the event of two or more children living at the same address point or two addresses measuring the same distance from the school, the ultimate tiebreaker will be random selection, witnessed by the Council officer, independent of the Admissions Team.
Document covers both Infant and Junior schools with separate oversubscription criteria for each. Criteria listed above are for Infant School. Junior School has 11 criteria. Published for 2026-2027 academic year. EHCP children are admitted before oversubscription criteria are applied.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
