When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the case of an oversubscription in any category, children will be admitted in order of proximity of the child’s permanent address to the school (measured using the Local Authority's GIS system, based on Ordnance Survey Address-Point data). If two or more children live an equal distance from the school, as measured by this procedure, the decision on which child will be allocated will be made using random allocation, independently verified.
A sibling link cannot be claimed where a sibling in receipt of a Statement of an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) attends a resourced unit within a mainstream primary school. These are Calderdale Council's shared oversubscription criteria for community and voluntary controlled primary schools and certain academies, which also apply to a listed group of other academies (Abbey Park Primary, Beech Hill, Bowling Green, Bradshaw, Burnley Road, Field Lane Primary, Heptonstall J and I, Luddenden CE, Midgley, Mount Pellon Primary, Old Town, Scout Road, Siddal Primary, The Greetland, West Vale).
