When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the number of eligible applicants within each over-subscription category above exceeds the number of places available, places will be allocated by reference to the distance between the applicant boy's home address (as defined by this policy) and the middle of the school's main entrance gate on Walton Road in a straight line, with those living closest receiving higher priority. Where two applicants live exactly the same distance from the school, the order in which places will be allocated will be determined by random selection supervised by a person independent of the school.
