was the furthest place offered for 2026-27 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at Bierton Church of England Combined School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Once the above criteria have been applied then any further places will be offered in distance order; using the distance between the family's Normal Home Address and the school's nearest open entrance gate offering the closest first. We use a straight-line distance. If it is still not possible to decide between two applicants who are equidistant then an independently scrutinised random allocation will be made to allocate the final place.
Local-authority coordinated default oversubscription criteria for Buckinghamshire Council's community and voluntary-controlled schools (the council is the admission authority). Some community/voluntary-controlled schools in this authority apply catchment-area, feeder-school or priority-area variants — check the individual school for its exact arrangements. Document also gives separate (slightly different, e.g. sibling definition) criteria for In-Year admissions, plus distinct criteria for Nursery Class and Nursery School admissions; catchment areas and linked/feeder primary schools vary by school, and some individual schools may adopt different arrangements as noted.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
