When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where there are more applications than places remaining in any of the oversubscription categories, the order in which places will be allocated will be determined by the distance between the child's home address and the School, with those living nearest receiving highest priority. If there are two identical distance measurements for different addresses of separate applicants, the tie-break will be done by the drawing of lots supervised by somebody independent of the Trust and the School.
Document also covers various administrative matters (deferred entry, summer born children, admission outside normal age group, waiting list) not part of oversubscription criteria.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
