When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Highest priority will be given to looked-after children and all previously looked-after children who apply for — Highest priority will be given to looked-after children and all previously looked-after children who apply for a place at the school.

Applications under this criterion must be supported by the completion and submission of a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) by the published deadline.
4. 4Priority will next be given to children living nearest to the school. Distance will be measured in accordance — Priority will next be given to children living nearest to the school. Distance will be measured in accordance with the methodology used by the Local Authority in which the school is situated for determining home-to-school distances for admission purposes. Details of how the Local Authority measures distance can be found on the relevant Local Authority’s website. The Trust does not determine or verify distance measurements independently of the Local Authority.

If two applications tie: Where applications cannot be separated by the criteria, priority goes to the child living nearest the school using the local authority's distance method; where applicants live the same distance away, random allocation decides, independently supervised.

E-ACT's own determined admissions policy for this academy, published on the academy's website. E-ACT does not measure distance itself: the policy says distance is measured by the method the local authority in which the school sits uses for admissions, so Bristol City Council's straight-line measurement applies here. Children whose EHCP names the school are admitted before any other places are allocated.
