was the furthest place offered for 2026-27 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at St Mary's CofE Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where there are more applicants than places available within any category, priority will be given to children living closest to the school. Distance will be measured using the shortest available walking route from the main school gate to the child's home address using recognised road and pedestrian pathways. Where two applicants live an identical distance from the school and only one place remains available, the place will be allocated by random allocation supervised independently.
Transcribed from St Mary's Church of England Primary School's ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS 2027/2028. 'Faithful and regular worshippers' means applicants whose parent(s) or carer(s) have attended public worship at least once a fortnight for a period of not less than one year immediately preceding the application; faith-based applications must be supported by a completed Minister's Reference Form. Where a church has been closed for public worship, attendance at authorised online or alternative worship arrangements provided by that church is taken into account. Where church attendance forms part of the criteria, attendance by one parent is sufficient.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
