When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are insufficient places to accommodate all applicants and the last two (or more) places are equal distance from the academy (up to three decimal points) or at the same address or in the same block of flats who are eligible for the remaining places, the academy will use a random allocation. Applicants will have their names drawn as lots to see who should be offered the place(s). The person drawing the names will have no involvement in the school admissions process.
All categories are ranked in order of shortest safe walking distance. The policy also contains notes on medical/social need criteria appended at the end of the document but this criterion does not appear in the numbered oversubscription criteria list. Entry is at Year 3.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
